Top Charter Destinations: Mykonos

The glamorous Greek island of Mykonos was our top private jet charter destination of 2016, and with 300 days of sun, golden white beaches, and a vibrant party scene, it’s easy to see why- Mykonos caters for it all.

Although one of the smallest islands in the Cyclades, Mykonos is certainly the most famous, known for its stunning natural beauty and picturesque villages, and cosmopolitan nightlife with world class DJs and parties lasting until dawn, it has attracted the international jet set since the fifties.

It’s not just for partying though; the old town is a whitewashed paradise, filled with high end boutiques and designer stores, trendy restaurants and charming local cafes. Beaches in the north of the island are more secluded, and offer the perfect location for water sport enthusiasts, with surfing, wind surfing, scuba diving and sailing all on offer. Other cultural must-see attractions are the famous Mykonos windmills lining the coast, the historic 18th century district of ‘Little Venice’, the remarkable Church of Paraportiani and a variety of museums including the Aegean Maritime Museum.

Temperatures in the summer months can reach highs of 40°C, with average year round temperatures of approximately 28°C. The best time to visit is late spring, when temperatures are warming but the crowds have yet to descend, or early autumn, when the summer tourists have departed.

Mykonos Airport is located 4km southeast of the town of Mykonos. To charter a private jet to the beautiful island of Mykonos, call us now to discuss your requirements and a competitive rate on +44 (0)1959 575800 or email charter@nullinterflight.co.uk
